Lucas loves music. He loves to sing and dance and has shown an interest in musical instruments, particularly the guitar and the drums.

When we went to Manila last year, he was so excited when we got to my mom’s house because my brother and sister and my step dad were musicians and own different types of guitars. His face just lit up when he saw the variety of guitars lined up. He picked one up and started to play it as if he knew how.

I cannot play an instrument really well, I play a few notes on the piano, but that’s about it, I haven’t had the chance to learn an entire song. I’ve always wanted to learn but I just didn’t have the time.

I plan to make some time for my children to learn to play musical instruments, especially since they have expressed their interest in it.

Drake and Joy, my brother and sister are really talented musicians, although they did not have formal training, they learned how to play the guitar and the piano through my Step Dad. I was told he was a frustrated musician. I go to my siblings whenever I have a question about musical instruments and gear. Lucas will be 4 by the end of this month, well it’s technically he’s first birthday but hey.., and maybe he’ll finally get a guitar complete with an amplifier. As for the drum set, I’m waiting to go deaf before I purchase a set for him. LOL. They say hearing is the first to go as people age.
