I am a web content writer by profession and I work with numerous clients at the same time, I have no other writers as of now, and I pretty much work on my own. Which is just fine by me. 
I actually like working alone, I don’t have to worry about what the other person has accomplished and how the other writers are doing. I like working by myself because I work at a pace I am most comfortable with, which is so important because I am also a full time homemaker. I want to be able to have time for my family whenever I feel the need to. It’s just one of the perks of being a work at home mom. However, one downside to being a work at home mom is that I am not insured. I do not have insurance plans that will protect me when clients decide not to pay for my work and they just disappear as soon as they get the articles they ask me to write. I have been victimized a few times in the past before, clients asking me to write and then not paying me in the end. It’s a heart breaking and stressful process, but that is the risk of working from home.
Being victimized by people who take advantage of the fact that you trust that they will pay you has really made me look into getting an insurance policy. However, the only insurance I can find that was even remotely close to what I was looking for was only applicable to the IT business. It’s called the errors & omissions insurance It basically protects the company from professional liability risks which can be a burden for the company’s bank account as well as exhaust the company’s human resources.
How I wish there was such an insurance policy that will lessen the risk of us writers being scammed by people who claim will pay us for articles and then take off very suddenly. For now, all I can do is screen meticulously and choose the clients I work with to lessen the risk of losing potential earnings and getting too stressed out.
