I have never been a fan of clowns. I don’t think they’re funny and I don’t think they’re cute. They are creepy and I don’t like them. Not at all. Not even Ronald McDonald, sure I love the food in McDo, but Ronald McDonald is just too creepy. I don’t look at his statue when we visit a McDo store. I don’t like his baggy clothes, big shoes and I don’t like his creepy grin. He reminds me a bit like Chucky, the doll, but at least Chucky was a bit cute when he wasn’t possessed by a psychopath. I also don’t get clown jokes. What is so funny about the sad clown? Is it an irony or something? Is that what makes it funny? I just don’t get it.
I remember for Chakai’s first birthday, my mother in law hired the most boring clown ever. He didn’t make the kids laugh or kept them amused, he bored them to the point where the kids would rather eat than play. That’s how boring he was. How many kids do you know who would prefer eating to playing? Yes, that was how bad of a clown he is. Apparently anyone who thinks he’s funny can be a clown, just put on your creepy make up and wa-la, you’re a clown.
So bottom line, clowns creep me out. No offense to clown lovers. They’re just not my type of people. I’m more of a mime person.
